Anime Nerd!

Hi everyone,

Been awhile since I last posted something. I have been quite busy taking care of some business and spending quality time with my close friends.

I wanted to share my newly found love/passion of Japanese anime with you! Coincidentally, there was a major Anime Expo happening at the LA Convention Center this past weekend, and I can't wait to attend next year's dressed up as one of my favorite anime characters.

In a week, I've watched three complete anime tv series. My favorite one is The Rose of Versailles. I grew up watching this anime, and it is by far one of the most successful anime tv series ever and very well done! It is set around the French Revolution era and by mixing real characters with fictional characters, it shows human conflicts and how the two fictional main characters symbolized the eventual fall of the French Monarchy, specifically Marie Antoinette. I've always been fascinated with Marie Antoinette, ever since I was a little kid. I feel she is definitely one of the most misunderstood characters in history and this anime does an excellent job of showing that.

I highly recommend this 40-episode anime. It will definitely keep you at the edge of your seat!

Next two anime series I watched are Emma: Victoria Romance and Fruits Basket. I should say that Emma was calm and rather slow while Fruits Basket was what you expect a traditional anime to look like. Nonetheless, I enjoyed them both equally.

I am exploring more anime shows to watch, and I am open to your suggestions!

I am also happy and proud to say I've officially become an anime nerd. :)
