Quality vs. Quantity

I had one of the most successful, fabulous shopping sprees this weekend at the Desert Hills Premium Outlet stores in Cabazon, CA.

It was part of my birthday celebration, and I had a blast!

All the stores had amazing sales, and the bargain prices were just unbelievable. My favorite stores are BCBG, Banana Republic (LOVE THIS STORE!), J. Crew, Saks outlet (Off the 5th), Coach and Nine West at that particular outlet. I love good quality clothes and shoes at bargain prices. I am a true believer in investing in quality over quantity.

As a young professional, I think it's crucial for career women to dress chic. I think when you look your very best, your confidence level goes up tremendously; therefore, you can actually be even more productive and confident during important meetings and presentations. I've talked to a lot of women who felt the same.

In my previous blog posts, I've recommended the best stores to get the best quality clothes at bargain prices. I do like shopping at Forever21, Urban, Zara and H&M for casual, trendy items, but I think for work clothes or maybe even for most of your wardrobe, it's worth going to quality designer outlet stores.

Banana Republic, by far, has the best blouses, pants, especially for a petite person like me. Saks outlet and BCBG have sophisticated, chic designer clothes, and you don't have to pay the full price to get the top designer pieces.

I live by the philosophy that it's better to have one quality designer bag over 10 lesser quality bags. Check out the annual Barneys and Saks sales around November and December and you can invest in beautiful Marc Jacobs and Prada bags, which are very versatile.

I bought almost a year's worth of wardrobe that I need and I did not spend much money at all. Nine West store had amazing sales for classic work stilettos, flats and sexy shoes. Banana and BCBG have beautiful blouses, dresses, and much more for work and for weekends.

I enjoy shopping but with a specific purpose. I recommend you make a shopping list of all the things you need and find out which stores best fit your body type and have all the items you need. I was a woman on a mission yesterday at the outlet, and I got everything I needed on my shopping list.

Listen up, all the beautiful women out there! Save your money and go buy quality pieces because cheap fabric does show itself to be cheap and it's better to have one pair of great Manolo Blahniks than 20 Payless shoes. I don't think many women realize how cheap things can be at the outlet stores. Do NOT be intimidated by the brand name stores. Just go in side and you will dicover that it's in fact not scary at all, and you will be able to purchase beautiful pieces at unbelievable prices!!

Remember: Quality will last you for years! It's not about how many shirts, bags, shoes you have, it's about how long they would last. Invest in key pieces and you will have them for a long time to treasure them!

Hello to all my readers!

Sorry I have been MIA, I have had a lot going on. In fact, I still have a lot to sort through, but I realized I haven't written in awhile so I wanted to take some time out tonight and write.

I am a year older now as of this past Friday, and I am excited for many new years ahead!
