You've Gotta Watch These!

I like watching drama-filled movies. No, I don't mean the type of "drama" that high school kids or drama queens talk about. I am referring to the movies that really make you think about human life and after watching them, you can come out with different perspectives on life and people.

Granted, movies that depict our reality can often be depressing or upsetting. However, when beautifully done, they can also make you be more grateful for the life you have and teach you about how others live, deal with everyday ordeals and show how beautiful/ugly life can be.

Some notable movies I want to recommend are the following:

"The Blind Side"
"Up in the Air"
"Personal Effects"
"Precious"
"Bella"
"The Broken English"
"El Norte"
"Under the Same Moon"
"Closer"
"Shopgirl"

Now to switch the gear a little bit, I absolutely love watching comedy!
Comedy can help lighten people's moods and prove an excellent escape, especially during times like this when people are losing their jobs, homes and feel a sense of anxiety or loss.

I highly recommend the following movies:

"Funny People" (Although this has some sentimental moments, it is pretty funny overall)
"40 Year Old Virgin" (Never gets old!)
"Office Space" (All professionals can relate to this movie in one way or another)
"Legally Blonde"
"I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry"
"Baby Mama"
"It's Complicated"
"Something's Gotta Give"
"Chris Rock: Never Scared (2004)"
"Coming to America"

TV Shows (Comedy):

"The Office"
"30 Rock"
"The Simpsons"
"The Family Guy"
"Robot Chicken"

Shows you can get on DVDs:

"Extras" (Everyone who has seen this show by Ricky Gervais says it is the funniest show ever!)
"The Office" (Original Britsh Version)

After a long, hectic week at work, it's time to treat yourself to some quality movies or Laugh-Out-Loud funny movies this weekend while not moving a muscle from your bed/couch!

ENJOY!!! :)
