Today is truly a bittersweet day for all the Michael Jackson fans around the world, and perhaps the one that we all had been waiting for.
Dr. Murray will be charged with involuntary manslaughter in the untimely death of Michael Jackson. There are fans and MJ's family present at the courthouse supporting and showing love for MJ. He may have passed but he lives on in our hearts forever.
I am watching all the media coverage of this, and to be honest, I don't know what to believe. Just as MJ was brutally misrepresented in the 2005 trial, what if it's the same case with this doctor?
I am not saying he isn't guilty. He is. He neglected his one and only patient when timing was key in the case. However, I feel the media is really jumping to all the conclusions when the DA is now finally charging him with this.
As I am watching this unfold, I can't help but feel sad that Michael Jackson is no longer here with us. The doctor will face a trial and I believe justice will prevail. However, would that give us some comfort? Perhaps or perhaps not.
I hope that the media, while covering this, does NOT put Michael Jackson's name down the drain and try to paint him as a drug abuser. This is about a doctor's negligence of his patient, not what Michael Jackson was doing.
For once, I am asking the media to report the truth and facts and nothing but the facts. Please do NOT use this as an opportunity to insult or defame MJ. We will not tolerate that anymore.

We will wait patiently for justice to prevail. In the process, however, let's be respectful. We are representing our beloved entertainer/artist and he represented love and peace. Let us represent him in that way.
